Rosa Sánchez Montoya, sworn translator

I have been translating documents that matter to people’s lives for over 20 years: a degree for studying abroad, a certificate for getting married or a judgment for a legal procedure. I understand that behind every file there is a person and often an important deadline.
That’s why at Tradusan there are no middlemen or switchboards. You speak directly to me from the very first email right through to delivery. I’ll explain exactly what you need (sometimes less than you think) and give you a fixed price before I start.

Frequently asked questions
Can’t find your answer? Write to me and I’ll answer you personally.
What exactly is a sworn translation?
A sworn translation is an official translation certified by a translator appointed by Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The certification attests to the accuracy of the translation; it does not authenticate the original document or guarantee the outcome of a procedure. For use abroad, check the receiving authority’s requirements.
Is a photo of the document enough or do you need the original?
A clear photo or scanned PDF of the complete document is usually enough for me to prepare the translation. If you need a paper original of the translation, I can arrange delivery. The receiving authority may also require you to present the original source document.
Does a translation with an electronic signature have the same validity?
Spanish rules allow sworn translations to be certified with a qualified electronic signature. Keep the original digitally signed PDF: a printout does not preserve its verifiable electronic signature. Check how the receiving authority requires the translation to be submitted, especially abroad.
How long will it take to be ready?
The turnaround depends on the length, complexity and my availability. I’ll confirm the delivery date in your quote. If you have an appointment or deadline, please tell me when you send your documents.
How much will my translation cost?
The price depends on the document’s length, complexity and language pair. I provide a fixed quote before work begins, with any urgency or delivery charges clearly identified.
Are my documents safe?
I handle your documents confidentially and use them to provide the requested service. If another-language specialist is needed, I explain the arrangement before proceeding. A confidentiality agreement can be discussed if required.
Do you work with clients from all over Spain?
Yes. Sworn translation is valid throughout the national territory and I work online with clients in any city. For in-person interpreting I cover Orihuela Costa, Vega Baja, Costa Blanca and the surrounding areas.
